It is the primary responsibility of the Hair Stylist to provide hair services which include haircuts, blow drying and styling, hair treatments, up-dos, and hair extensions. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and the Monte Carlo policies, practices and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
Provide hair services including haircuts, blow drying and styling, hair treatments, up-dos, and hair extensions.
Maintain the safety of all guests and staff by providing a clean and sanitary work environment; including sanitizing, disinfecting, and sweeping as necessary.
Dispose of soiled linens as needed.
Maintain a working knowledge of all products and provide guests with current information involving the latest techniques and procedures.
Stock work stations and inform management of necessary inventory needing replacement.
Provide excellent customer service by completing services promptly in the time allotted while maintaining professional and courteous behavior to all guests and employees.
Check equipment for damage or in need of repair
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of six (6) months of Hair Stylist experience.
Minimum of at least six (6) months of guest service experience.
Current Cosmetologist License, as issued by the State Board of Cosmetology required.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Basic knowledge of spa software.
Previous retail experience and salon experience.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Monte Carlo standards.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
